If your 13 1/2-year-old daughter had long expressed a desire to get her nose pierced, but you told her probably not yet, she's a bit young, especially since she pierced the upper cartilege in her own ear after having been told she couldn't do that yet, though she can certainly when she's a bit older, and your coming-up-on-17-year-old daughter had long expressed a desire to get her lip pierced, and you'd told her that we couldn't agree to it because it's such a site for infection, but that in another year she can do what she wants since she'll be 18 then, and then the 16-nearly-17-year-old decided that she liked nose piercings after all, and could she get that done for her upcoming birthday, and you'd said yes, and the 13 1/2-year-old got totally bent out of shape about being beaten to the nose piercing, would you cave and let her get it done?
