Hmmm, and Bush just announced his committment to build a moon station to aid our further planetary exploration. While perusing the 50 "sci-fi" movies I bought at Big Lots, no fewer than 3 from 1950 to 1962 used a moonbase to jump to other planets. Isn't that amazing? Mark Twain? Have you read any of his speeches or editorials? He was decades before his time. I'm not talking about Prince and the Pauper or other short story. He had a conscience. Salman Rushdie? Okay, you got me there. I can't finish one of his sentences let alone a whole book. Jaws? Having studied the series on film over the last 4 years I've come to appreciate the value of I and II as observations of that era's values. They're almost priceless. Not romantic or even scary, just observant. I'm with you on Disney and Vegas (at least the Vegas "appeal"--I've never actually been there). You're right about Lite Beer, too. Everyone knows it sucks, and its' STILL over-rated. You forgot Jaws 3-D.

Over-Rated is subjective, that's all. Except for the Eiffel tower, that's objectively ugly. Judy Dench was magnificent as Queen Victoria in Mrs. Brown, but she's pretty obnoxious in that TV show of hers. My wife's loves it, though and claims that the Geoffrey Palmer character reminds her of me. I read when it's on. Renoir is sugar candy, but so what?

I only meant Pioneer stereos; and Marantz stereos but only because when I wanted one I couldn't afford one. Judy Dench? I bet you never heard her as Mrs. Calloway in Home on the Range with Roseanne Barr. Noah has. 12 times in a row. I meant cars with 30 or 35 mpg. Not ones with 37 or 43 or 56. Or 100 or 200. I just mean 30 is so pedestrian. When the big push came in late 70's buy Japanese imports because they got "30 city 35 hwy" they killed all muscle cars and most large trucks. Now if you only get 30 you're not trying hard enough. And do Pioneer headphones have that coiled wire? I couldn't afford a cool stereo but I took my twenty-five 1976 dollars and got Sennheisers. I'll never get tired of Tchaichovsky. I get him.
