SHOWTIME NETWORK TO PREMIERE HILARIOUS, GROUNDBREAKING CABLE SITCOMIN SPACE!

'You'll forget all about the Sopranos,' say Showtime execs

LOS ANGELESShowtime Networks, Inc., home of classic programming like "The Chris Isaak Show" and "Jamie Foxx's Laffapalooza," proudly announces today the premiere of its newestand bestsitcom, "Grandpa Fuckin Spaceshuttle."

Remember "My Mother The Car," the 1960s show where the spirit of a man's dead mother inhabits a Model T? Well, Showtime has updated the concept with 80s technology and 90s attitude, bringing the American viewing public 100 percent fun!

"It's a show for the whole family," said Showtime CEO Matthew C. Blank. "Sure, it's a little racy, but the churchy types aren't watching Showtime anyway," he continued. "Or the atheist types... Or the conservatives... Or the liberals, come to think of it...

"Look, the point is, nobody's gonna complain about anything we broadcast that could, in theory, be viewed by millions of people, so you might as well enjoy it," Blank added.

The first episodepremiering tonight at 8, 9, 10 and 11 with special "encore presentations" at select times throughout the monthtells the story of a lonely, foulmouthed old man in a retirement home in Florida who wishes his family would visit him. Shortly after bemoaning his solitude and isolation, he dies alone from a heart attack.

But right at that second, the space shuttle is lifting off from nearby Cape Canaveral, and through a strange turn of events (oh, let's just call it a gypsy curse), the lonely old man's spirit fuses with the equally aged space vehicle. And the astronauts on board are in for quite a ride! When they call Houston about the strange events on board, the radio sputters back, "Houston? My name's Phil, goddammit! And what the hell is coming out of my ass? I haven't had gas like this since taco night at the home!

"F*ck!"

"Where's the nurse with my pills? I want the one with the big tits."

"Sh*t!"

Oh, Grandpa Fuckin Spaceshuttle, you scamp! Every week, "Grandpa Fuckin Spaceshuttle" goes on a new adventure, teaching us all something about lifeand sometimes even learning a little about himself.

Plotlines are closely guarded at Showtime, being valuable trade secrets, but the network is making available to reviewers an advance copy of the episode where Grandpa Fuckin Spaceshuttle buzzes his children's homes to get them to finally pay attention to him.

In addition to the standard Showtime hilarity, we think you'll shed a tear or two as Grandpa Fuckin Spaceshuttle finds out that he never really knew his children at all. Specifically, that they always thought he was a jerk, which is why they stuck him in a home in the first place.

But even that bittersweet revelation is just another jumping-off point for more heartwarming hijinks with our high-flying Grandpa Fuckin Spaceshuttle!
